With this render i wanted to test some light setups for future projects.
The scene is just a flat plane with an fully black glossy pbr shader. Lighted up by a textured plane in the background. This textured Plane is invisible for the camera but its still part of the ray calculation for other objects. So it lights up the diamond from behind and gives this great inner glow.
After rendering was finished for this scene i added a simple circular gradient in the background to get this white background glow.
And thats it baically. The Diamond shader isnt physically accurate. I edited some fresnel values and behavior. Also the light setup is not that simple i had to ad some fill lights to light up all edges of the diamond properly and get some white reflections while spinning.
